New Mosque Building for Erlangen – A Forward-Looking Investment
A Center for a Growing Community
The Islamic Community of Erlangen e.V. (IGE) is planning to acquire a new mosque building at Erlanger Weg 2 in Erlangen. With increasing visitor numbers and a growing need for space for diverse activities, the board has decided to acquire a central building that will serve as an education center and cultural meeting point for the community in the long term.
Why a New Building?
The existing facilities of the IGE have reached their limits. To meet the need for prayer rooms for women and men, classrooms, seminar rooms, and community spaces, an expansion is urgently required. The planned building provides the necessary capacity for all these functions and creates space for future generations.

Planned Use
The new building is intended for diverse uses: prayer rooms for women and men, classrooms particularly for Quranic education, seminar and event spaces for activities and gatherings of all community members, as well as rooms for workshops and community events.
